🧠✨ Why I wrote EPIC: Solving the hidden pains of Modern Health & Potential đŸŒŸ

When I wrote Sick No More and Your Guide to Delight, I focused on reimagining healthcare as proactive and joyful. But today, I’m driven by a bigger question: What if health isn’t just about avoiding sickness, but about unlocking a life that’s truly epic?

Health should be more than the absence of disease. More than at last focusing on prevention. It should be the presence of energy, purpose, and delight.

I wrote EPIC because I believe we are settling. We’re accepting “chronic health” and reactive sickcare as the norm, instead of aiming for a life that is vibrant, personal, and deeply meaningful.

🔍 The Pains “EPIC” Solves

  1. We’ve medicalized life but forgotten how to live: too many people survive, but don’t thrive
  2. Health systems treat illness but don’t cultivate zest, creativity, or legacy
  3. Prevention feels Pointless
Traditional healthcare focuses on avoiding disease, not living fully. EPICreframes prevention as “health promotion”, a tool to fuel your dreams, not just dodge future risks.
  4. Health feels Impersonal
Cookie-cutter advice fails us. EPICshows how AI, genomics, and digital twins tailor health to your biology, goals, and legacy.
  5. Burnout, stress, and disengagement are rising — in a world where we could be designing energy, not draining it
  6. Data overload, No direction
We’re drowning in health data but lacking a compass to make it matter Wearables track steps, but what’s the point? EPICturns data into a GPS for purpose, guiding you toward vitality and meaningful experiences.
  7. Fear doesn’t motivate
Scare tactics backfire. EPICleverages art, creativity, and delight to inspire lasting change, like music that lowers stress or art that mirrors your heartbeat.
  8. Legacy feels Out of Reach
Health isn’t just about living longer, it’s about living better. EPICaligns well-being with leaving a mark, whether through relationships, creativity, or societal impact.

💡 A Personal Spark

This book is deeply personal. My mom’s diabetes journey taught me that connection, not fear, drives change. When I explained how her choices impacted our family, she transformed her habits overnight. That’s the power of aligning health with legacy.

As I write in EPIC:

“Healthspan is way more important than lifespan. It’s about the quality of your days, the depth of your contributions, and the stories you leave behind.”

🌐 Who Is This For?

  • Visionaries curious about the power of health data and AI and longevity’s role in well-being.
  • Healthcare Innovators ready to move beyond “sickcare” to human-centric models.
  • Leaders ready to build workplaces where well-being drives innovation.
  • People willing to understand how art and creativity are bridges to human potential.
  • You, if you’re tired of one-size-fits-all health advice.
  • You, if you’re ready to turn health into a tool for greatness.

I don’t just want to live longer. I want to die young, as late as possible.

That’s the idea behind EPIC:

To help you design a life of healthspan, not just lifespan.
To move from sickcare to self-care.
To go from reacting to becoming, the most epic version of yourself.

With tools like AI, digital twins, and behavior design, we can make that possible. Not someday, but now.

This isn’t a book. It’s a mindset. A movement.
A manifesto for a better, more personalized kind of health.
